A website in Pixel Relay is one site (or one group of domains) sending events to one Meta pixel. Have the Pixel ID and access token ready.
- Step 1: On the Websites page, click Add website.
- Step 2: Give the site a name you will recognise. Only you and your team see it.
- Step 3: Paste the Pixel ID from Meta Events Manager.
- Step 4: Paste the Conversions API access token you generated for that pixel.
- Step 5: Enter the site's domain. The relay only accepts events from the domains listed here and their subdomains.
- Step 6: Keep Remove health terms from page addresses on. Blocked terms in page addresses are replaced before Meta sees them.
- Step 7: Tick Hide the site's domain from Meta if the domain itself says what the business does.
- Step 8: Click Add website.
- Step 9: The site is saved. Its settings page ends with the snippet to put on the site.
Steps
- Open Websites and click Add website.
- Website: enter a Name. It is only shown in Pixel Relay.
- Meta credentials: paste the Pixel ID and the Conversions API access token. Leave API version as it is unless your account team tells you otherwise. Test event code is optional.
- Allowed domains: enter the site's domain, like
example.com. Click Add domain for each other domain the site runs on. Subdomains such aswww.andbook.are covered already. See Allowed domains. - Privacy and limits: check the settings. The defaults suit most sites. See Privacy and limits.
- Keep Add the standard event mappings ticked to start with the common mappings, such as
schedule_appointmentto Lead. - Click Add website.
The website's settings page opens, with its tracker snippet at the bottom under Install the tracker. Continue with Install the tracker.
If you do not see Add website
Adding websites is switched off for client logins unless your account team turns it on, and it disappears once you reach your account's website limit. Send the Pixel ID, access token and domains to your account team and they will add the site for you.
